KINGMAN - Enjoy Stockton Hill Road this holiday weekend because the busiest stretch of Kingman's busiest street will get even more congested starting Tuesday.

The city's Street Department said motorists can expect intermittent lane restrictions between Detroit and Airway avenues from Tuesday through the entire month of June for a milling and pavement project.

Desert Construction was awarded the more than $742,000 contract to perform milling and replace the top two inches of asphalt. Funding came from the Street Department's Pavement Preservation Fund.

Traffic control and detours will be in place, but motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible, either Western Avenue or Harrison Street to avoid delays.
