KINGMAN - Fishing for striped bass has been tough around South Cove. Recent cool and windy weather seemed to shut down the striper bite. But not everyone had a tough time. Kingman resident Kerri Burhans was fishing with her sister Tammy Martin and brother in law Gary Martin when she caught a 3 ½ pound striper. The threesome brought in 21 stripers.
Apply for tags online
The Arizona Game & Fish Department has announced that sportsmen can now apply online for tags for deer, sheep, buffalo and pheasant. Applications can be made until 7 p.m. on June 14.
Stay afloat and survive
U.S. Coast Guard statistics show that drowning was the reported cause of death in three-fourths of recreational boating accidents, according to their 2014 statistics. What that means is that boaters, anglers and hunters should wear personal flotation devices at all times.
