My name is Jim Bailey. I am currently the board chairman for the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District. I would ask you for your continued support for current NACFD board member Eric Berg, NACFD board clerk Mike Collins and myself. We are seeking re-election to continue to serve the residents of our fire district and to continue our current operating plan.
During our tenure we have successfully accomplished the following for the NACFD:
We have operated on a balanced budget for eight consecutive years. Our operating budget continues to decline (due to lowering assessed valuations) while our call volume increases annually.
Eliminated fire district debt. The district was in debt in excess of $2 million dollars prior to our appointment. Created a capital line item with a strategic plan.
We currently have the second lowest taxing rate for a fire district in Mohave County. Three of 14 fire districts in Mohave County are at the tax max cap. We are currently one of the three under the cap.
Maintained our insurance services office rating of a 3.
Resolved all pending litigation/lawsuits inherited by the previous board and administration.
We are once again recognized as an official fire district by the Arizona State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Arizona State Forestry Division.
We have completed independent audits of our finances annually since our appointment.
Returned dispatching/call taking of 911 emergencies to the Kingman Dispatch Center instead of from the Lake Havasu ambulance company.
We are endorsed by our firefighters association and the firefighters in our area communities.
We have worked very diligently with our current administration to reduce debt, create a strategic plan, reduce operating costs, restore our working agreements with local and state agencies and still maintain service delivery to our citizens. The district operates more efficiently now than ever before.
We ask you to believe the facts and actions of our tenure versus the political promises of our opponents. A vote for Bailey, Berg and Collins continues the stability of the NACFD. WE thank you for your support.
