KINGMAN – It’s time to show your support for the nation’s military veterans downtown Saturday.

The Veteran’s Day parade starts at 10 a.m., and the route runs on Beale Street from Sixth to First streets.

A spaghetti dinner will begin at noon inside the Grand Event Center at 515 E. Beale St. There will also be a flag line by the Patriot Guard Riders and blessing of the event by a local minister. Vendors will be set up inside the event center, including representatives from the Kingman Veterans Affairs Clinic. Cost is free for veterans with ID, and $5 for non-veterans.

“The parade is aimed at military families,” said Dave Stafford, chairman of the Veteran’s Day Parade Committee. That includes siblings and cousins. “If something happens in time of war, it affects more than mom and dad.”

To register to be in the parade, email Stafford at chairman@kingmanvetparade.org, or pick up a registration form before Friday at the Kingman Visitor Center, 120 W. Andy Devine Ave.

To volunteer or for more information, call 928-716-6626 or email Stafford.

The event is hosted by the Kingman Downtown Merchants Association. For more information on how to join KDMA, call 928-716-0373.
