Master Sgt. (RET)

I enlisted in the US Army at 17 on Oct 6, 1954. I spent two tours of duty overseas.

In February of 1955, I began a 16-month TOD (tour of duty) in Korea and in January 1961, I began a 36-month TOD in Germany. I spent 12 years, nine months and 28 days in the Regular Army on active duty.

Having completed high school and six months of college, I elected to get out of the service on Aug 6, 1967, and go back to school. While pursuing my education I obtained employment in various hospital administration positions and primarily remained in that field.

In September of 1971, I enlisted in the California Army National Guard for one year.

In September of 1974, I enlisted in the Air National Guard and served 11 years, nine months and 14 days.

My service in all military components totaled 25 years, seven months, and 12 days. My National Guard service was mixed with civilian hospital employment.
