Letter: American Legion thanks business community for ramp donations

I would like to extend my gratitude to the Kingman business community and its people who have helped with donations towards the handicap ramp drive for the American Legion Post No. 14 of Kingman.

I am proud to announce that, according to my figures, the amount raised is $5,063, a little more than half of its original goal of $10,000.

Businesses have given donations to the cause and their logos and/or names have been placed on a large banner.

With this help from Kingman businesses and many individual people of Kingman we are well on our way to successfully building that ramp.

I also wish to announce that I am stepping down as Project Coordinator for this drive and passing the torch to the Post to carry forward. I have worked this project for nearly seven months. It has taken a lot of personal time, wear and tear on my old van and has delayed several projects of mine.

I’ve been trying to produce a movie script I’ve written that started in college years ago and a formal copyright on a Christmas design.

I also wish to put this into production.

They have been on the back burner for some time. I need to go forward with these.

So I thank you again from the bottom of my heart for this is truly a worthy cause.
