Letter of thanks: Walther family grateful for compassion

Recently our family suffered a tragic and unexpected loss of a family member. My son and I would like to personally thank so many individuals who responded with kindness, concern and offered love and prayers.

First, to the Kingman Police Department, thank you for your professionalism and compassion demonstrated during this event. To Lee Williams High School, there aren’t enough words to express our gratitude in handling this sad event. To the Lee Williams High School Band, you are an amazing group, so willing to give up your personal time to help a fellow classmate is amazing and a testament to your kindness and giving hearts.

So many teachers stepped out of their teaching role to become grief counselors and mentors in my son’s time of need; Gregory Chenoweth, Christine Severin, David Rice, Gretchen Dorner, Debbie Talk, Emily Baker and Cardo Diaz.

Many times our law enforcement and teachers do not get the credit they deserve in the many roles they have. To our church family at Oak Street Baptist Church, we are so thankful to call you our family and would have been lost without your hugs and prayers.

To my provider Lori Grant and her nurse Barb, you both encompass all the professionalism and kindness that was needed through this situation. A special thank you to my friend Rauchel Farris for a listening ear and reminding me to put one foot in front of the other.

Sincerely,

Karrie and Chase Walther
