A fatal collision involving two semi-trailers and a passenger vehicle closed down traffic on Interstate 40 early Wednesday morning. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened near Parks, west of Flagstaff, at around 3:30 a.m. There were also other minor injury accidents in the area, closing down both westbound and eastbound lanes. Controlled burns created smoke, leading to poor visibility for motorists. Both lanes were reopened shortly after 9:30 a.m. The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation. AZDPS also reported that two semi-trailers collided 10 miles east of Kingman near milepost 63. There were injuries involved and eastbound lanes of I-40 were closed but reopened at 8:30 a.m. No further details are available.
