KINGMAN – Users of Suddenlink internet service just got a boost after the company announced this week the availability of up to 1 gigabit per second download speed in the area.

The company also announced that it has increased other Suddenlink residential speeds at no cost to customers.

“This is great news for Kingman,” said State Rep. Regina Cobb. “Altice USA, by offering this new Suddenlink 1 gigabit service, gives us an excellent tool to help attract business and provides our citizens with a great new option to maximize their use of all the internet offers.”

“The services range in price from roughly $40 per month to $100 per month,” said Gene Regan of Altice USA, parent company of Suddenlink, the fourth largest cable operator in the United States. It delivers residential and business services to 4.6 million customers across 20 states.

“Today’s announcement is the next step in Operation GigaSpeed, the company-wide plan we announced in August of 2014,” said Dan Spoelman, Altice USA vice president of Suddenlink operations.

“In sharp contrast to other large providers, which are offering a gigabit service primarily to a few neighborhoods in large urban markets, we’re pleased to be making our Suddenlink gigabit service available in all of the neighborhoods and to all of the households and businesses we serve throughout Kingman,” said Spoelman.

He said that local business owners will have access to the new gigabit service, along with Suddenlink customized services the company offers that are capable of multi-gigabit speeds.

“We’ve been investing quite a bit in Arizona since we have been serving there since 2006,” said Regan.

In addition to launching the 1 gigabit internet service, residential high-speed internet customers with current download speeds up to 75 and 100 megabits per second (mbps) have been moved to services with download speeds up to 100 and 200 mbps, respectively, at no added charge.

The standard Suddenlink residential internet download speeds in Kingman are now up to 50, 100, and 200 mbps, along with the new up to 1 gigabit service.

In Arizona, Suddenlink 1 gigabit internet services are now available in Flagstaff, Lake Havasu City and Kingman.
