The road (work) to insanity
One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over with negative results. This may apply to our county road supervisors in Kingman also.
Year after year rains will wash away substantial amounts of soil and rock on Wagon Wheel Road and at the intersection of Carol and Hoptoad roads.
Year after year the county will make repairs by filling in with soil and rock. These remedies will only last for one moderate rainfall and the road supervisors are aware of that.
On Wagon Wheel Road there is a hole measuring 25 feet long, nine feet wide and three feet deep. This hole has been there since mid-August and the erosion continues each day.
The county didn’t install any cones to alert drivers of the hazard so a nearby resident did.
Suggestions for permanent fixes such as a rip-rap (concrete and rock) or blacktop as used on rural roads have gone unheeded and the insanity continues.
