On January 9, 2017 we lost our mom, me-maw, great me-maw and loving wife.
Patty was born May 3, 1936 in Charleston, West Virginia.
When she passed she was living in Nampa, Idaho.
Patty met and married the love of her life, Tom Blanton, in 1963.
She started nursing school in California and finished her schooling at Mohave Community College.
Patty lived and worked most of her life her in Kingman. She was a nurse at Kingman Regional Hospital, for Dr. Standifer and at Mohave County Health Department.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Victor Herndon, her father, Irene Hager, her mothe,r and Nelda Jean Decker, her only sibling.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom Blanton of Nampa, Idaho. Her four children, Jeanne Esquibel, Lisa Blanton and Michael Blanton, all of Kingman, and Mark Blanton, of Florida. Her seven grandchildren, Michael Alsman of Austin, Texas, Lindsey Sutherland of Bullhead City, Arizona, Teri Alsman of Kingman, Derek (Ashley) Esquibel of Las Vegas, Nevada, Misha (Shane) Whalen of Kingman, and Ashley (Dequaan) Simmons of Manhattan, Kansas.
Patty had 13 great-grandchildren - Madyson, Mariah, Destry, Deagen, Chloe, Kalee, Logan, Levi, Alivia, Adrian, Aleya, Alicia and Luciano.
She is also survived by her niece, Candy (Bob) Huffman, and her nephew, Bruce Decker.
Patty was an amazing person, wife, mother and grandmother.
She will always be with us, as we have many memories of our time together.
A celebration of Patty’s life will be held at the Garlic Clove in downtown Kingman at 1 p.m. April 8, 2017. Please join us.
