Letter: Many minds will make Trump’s promises difficult to fulfill

A while back I came across the following verses in the Bible. The book Philippians is Paul’s letter to the congregation in Philippi. In those verses, the phrase, one mind, got my attention (Philippians 2:1-3).

  1. So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,

  2. Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

  3. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility, count others more significant that yourselves.

In the past 80-plus years, I have experienced the United States cycling between progression and regression as political parties take control over the government.

In the past, I have experienced how our culture and the people have changed. I see how we have lost our moral, ethical and religious principles and values for the vices.

I see liberal judges making political decisions rather than on the rule of law. I see how people of one mind on an issue have become people of many minds on an issue.

I see how President Trump will have a difficult task with the many minds that differ on the issues.

It will be difficult for president Trump to fulfill his promise and make America great again.
