Letter: Only atheists are going to be shocked at the end

An atheist once told me I would be in awe and shock when I died because no heaven existed, no hell, just nothingness.

I pondered for a moment: If nothing exists when we die, one can experience nothing. Only if something exists after we die can anyone experience anything.

Now I know the atheists believe God is fiction, a fairytale belief, but to be so sure nothing exists when no one alive today has died yet, even though some “near death experiences seem to hint at something after we die.” One is not truly dead until you die and do not get revived by doctors efforts.

No, I think God exists. One can argue all the theological beliefs from the Christian God, Jewish God, and Islamic God, which is a true irony they all claim to worship the same God but argue on the meaning of writings by men who wrote on behalf of God, Jesus, Muhammad.

Then there is the Buddhism, Hinduism, Satanism, etc. I am sure I missed some, but I am of a firm belief that the only ones who will be truly in shock and awe is the atheist who is so sure nothing exists.

If nothing exists, one can experience nothing. That is a fact.
