Letter: Re: “Only atheists are going to be shocked at the end,” by R. Hill April 21

We know there is nothing after life because there is no mechanism to keep consciousness working.

R. Hill may have faith in some kind of god, but the evidence is very much against the idea. Science is pretty advanced these days – we have even found evidence proving how the universe began.

If there were a god, we would have found some inkling that it exists by now. But we haven’t found one iota of evidence for anything supernatural, which suggests strongly that there is no god and no life after death.

R. Hill says only atheists will be shocked in the end, but the reality is, no one will be shocked at the end of life.

Consciousness simply ends.
