KINGMAN – After a short break, monsoon moisture was expected to creep back into Mohave County, developing Thursday evening and lingering into today, the National Weather Service reported.
While monsoon activity is not expected to widespread, gusty winds and heavy rainfall will be possible.
Thunderstorms are most likely to spread across eastern Mohave County, but a few storms could hit the Lake Havasu region as well.
Heavy rain and strong thunderstorm outflow winds will be the biggest concerns. The weather overview shows high confidence of dangerous lightning, especially for those enjoying outdoor recreation. Pockets of moderate to heavy rain could lead to minor nuisance flooding.
Monsoon conditions will remain through the weekend, NWS said.
