KINGMAN – The 73rd annual Mohave County Republican Picnic will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Recreation Area No. 1 at Hualapai Mountain Park, milepost 11 on Hualapai Mountain Road.

More than 300 people are expected to attend, along with elected officials from local districts, candidates for upcoming elections and politicians from outside the county.

Jonathan Lines, head of the Arizona Republican Party, is keynote speaker, along with his assistant, Torunn Sinclair.

Some of the names confirmed for the picnic are state Sens. Sonny Borelli and Steve Smith; former state Sen. Kelli Ward; Rep. Gina Cobb; Tracy Livingston, candidate for Superintendent of Schools; and City Council members.

Secretary of State Michele Reagan will attend, and she has a primary challenger, state Rep. Steve Montenegro, who is ending his vacation early and flying in from Central America to attend the picnic.

There’s no charge to attend the picnic, but if you want to eat, tickets are $20, with food provided by Mohave Steakhouse.
