KINGMAN – If you’re interested in seeing what the Arizona Game & Fish Department is proposing to the Commission as far as tags for this fall are concerned, then clear your calendar for Thursday afternoon.
Region 3 will be hosting a public meeting in which the 2017 fall recommendations for deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep bison, bear and mountain lion are available for review.
This is one of six open houses that will be held around Arizona between March 30 and April 5.
While there will be no formal presentations made, there will be regional staff on hand to answer questions and to note any comments that sportsmen or others want to make.
To view all of the recommendations go to www.azgfd.gov/huntguidelines
There are changes that may be of interest to local sportsmen that are being proposed regarding deer, juniors-only deer, juniors-only javelina, desert bighorn sheep, bison, bear and mountain lion.
The open house is 3-5 p.m. For any questions, call Region 2 Game Specialist Erin Butler at 928-692-7700.
