Dig It Kingman Community Gardens held a Children’s Garden event Saturday to celebrate the garden. It is a nonprofit and volunteer-operated effort that will provide kids with events designed to “educate, inspire and excite youth to learn about and experiment with gardening and how to care for the Earth’s precious resources.” Children’s Garden events are free and will take place the fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. The Community Garden is located at 2301 Lillie Avenue near Cecil Davis Park. There are many events planned this year, including a 5K Dig It Dash Run/Walk on Saturday and an Earth Day event on April 22. Dig It appreciates donations or volunteers.
