Letter: Concerning the concern over our needy roads

I believe that most taxpaying Kingman area residents want and deserve quality roads. That said, all intelligent adults know that there is really no “free lunch.”

Whoever fixes our roads (and sidewalks) needs to be paid a decent wage. If our taxes need to be increased to cover the services we want and demand, so be it.

What the citizens really want is value for their dollars. We want our highway tax monies to be used for just that, nothing else.

We also want to be assured that there is competent and quality oversight for all of our projects. This type of quality workers and oversight will serve all of Kingman and provide a pleasant journey for all Mother Road visitors.

If we show that we are proud of our fair city perhaps business people and visitors will linger longer. Thanks for listening.
