Letter: Regarding Kingman’s need for a mall

We have empty shopping centers like the one by the theater, and there are other strip malls with empty storefronts.

When we can fill those, then maybe we should begin to consider building a mall. So many people out here seem to think that if Kingman gets a mall, it’s just going to automatically fill up and prosper and all will be great.

It doesn’t work that way. Do a little research and you’ll find there are empty malls across America that are in more populous areas than ours. Look up abandon malls on YouTube: There are numerous videos showcasing nice looking malls that once featured some of the top retailers, but are now shuttered.
