GOLDEN VALLEY – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three Golden Valley residents Tuesday evening.

Lloyd Daniel Cousins, 41, and Samuel Paul Simpson, 56, were arrested for burglary, felony, and misdemeanor trespassing. A 64-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing, and a 60-year-old woman will be later summoned to court for burglary and trespassing.

According to sheriff’s spokeswoman Trish Carter, deputies responded to a possible burglary in progress in the 4000 block of Chino Drive and arrived to see five people on the property. Deputies talked to a witness who said he contacted the property owner, who said no one should be on the property. The owner told deputies that someone had already stolen a single axle camper trailer from his property a few days before and said he would press charges on everyone on his property.

Deputies saw a green trailer hooked up to a black Dodge truck and took all four suspects into custody.

Deputies spoke with each of the suspects. The 64-year-old man reportedly said he gave Cousins a ride to the property to clean it. The woman reportedly said Cousins told her that she and Simpson could have the trailer. Cousins allegedly said he was hired through a newspaper ad as a subcontractor to clean the property, but said he couldn’t remember which newspaper.

The woman was released at the scene. The three men were transported and booked into the Mohave County jail without incident. The Dodge truck was towed from the scene.
