Warrant Arrests

On April 29, Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested

Matthew Dean Ingram, 48, on a failure to appear felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court.

According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, deputies responded to a disturbance at a home in the 2400 block of Lass Avenue. Deputies arrived and discovered there was no electricity in the home and saw flashlights through the windows.

They talked to eight people at the home and a records check showed three of them to have active warrants. Ingram and two others were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Mohave County jail.

Warrant Arrests

On April 30, Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two Kingman residents:

Shantel Maye Coverdale

William Joseph Johnson-Hartley

Shantel Maye Coverdale, 33, on a failure to appear felony warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court, and William Joseph Johnson-Hartley, 30, on a theft of means of transportation felony warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, deputies knew Coverdale to have an outstanding warrant. Deputies went to a home in the 1900 block of East Potter Avenue and found Johnson-Hartley outside. A records check showed him to have an active warrant. Deputies contacted Coverdale as she exited the house regarding her active warrant.

Both were taken into custody without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County jail.

Makayla Ann-Marie Carlton

Narcotic Drugs/Warrant Arrest

On May 1, Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Makayla Ann-Marie Carlton, 18, of Kingman for possession of narcotic drugs and a warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court for dangerous drug violation and drug paraphernalia violation, both felonies.

According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, deputies responded to a disturbance at a home in the 3000 block of East Lass Avenue and contacted Carlton. A records check showed her to have an active warrant and a search of her purse allegedly revealed two metal sockets with burnt marijuana residue and a pill identified as a narcotic drug.

Carlton was taken into custody without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County jail.

Charles Glen Ewurs

Drugs/Drug Paraphernalia/Warrant Arrest

On May 1, Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Charles Glen Ewurs, 41, of Kingman for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with a contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, Deputies knew Ewurs to have an active warrant and saw him at the gas pumps outside a convenience store in the 4100 block of East Thompson Avenue. They contacted Ewurs regarding the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.

A search of Ewurs allegedly revealed a syringe and he reportedly admitted to having drug paraphernalia behind the driver’s seat. Deputies reportedly found a glass pipe with residue and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance.

Ewurs was transported and booked into the Mohave County jail.

Derek Ray Hilderbrandt

Sex Offender Arrest

On May 4, Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Derek Ray Hilderbrandt, 46, a transient, for sex offender registration violation, a felony.

According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, deputies responded to a business in the 2700 block of Route 66 regarding a homeless person loitering. Deputies contacted Hilderbrandt and a records check showed he is required to register as a sex offender. He initially registered with the Sheriff’s office in 2016.

Hilderbrandt reportedly said he didn’t have to register. An investigation determined he was not compliant with the requirements of a registered sex offender to maintain accurate information. He was last registered in Bullhead City and the investigation showed that Hilderbrandt had been in the Kingman area for a week.

He was taken into custody without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County jail.
