Kathleen King Mayer, 48, of Kingman, Arizona passed away on May 11, 2017, at Kingman Regional Medical Center. Kathleen was born on December 16, 1968, in Upland, California.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Gonzales King, and her father, Frank King.
Kathleen was married to the love of her life Dennis Mayer in Las Vegas on April 17, 2016.
Kathleen grew up in Napa Valley, California and graduated in 1994 from University of Nebraska College of Nursing. Kathleen was an amazing nurse for 22 years. She touched, cared for, and saved countless lives.
Kathleen worked at CareFlight (Air Methods) and Kingman Regional Medical Center. Kathleen wrote medical romance novels, achieving international and USA Today Best Seller lists. Kathleen loved writing spicy novels, short stories, and blog posts. She loved to make people laugh and blush. She enjoyed music and live concerts, Arizona Diamondbacks baseball, and cake decorating.
Kathleen was loved by many and will be deeply missed by everyone she knew and cared for. Kathleen’s biggest accomplishment was her four children: Haleigh, Michael, Sydney, and Patrick Grieve. She has two beautiful grandsons, Jaxon and Grayson, and 10 nieces and nephews.
Kathleen is survived by her sisters Rebecca (King) Escalera, Franceen King Rea, Elizabeth Garza, and Theresa (King) Serna.
