William Lee Timms was 89 years old when he passed away on April 28, 2017, in Kingman, Arizona. He was born March 5, 1928 in Ft. Lee, New Jersey to Jessie L. and Clarence J. Timms.
He grew up in Watkins Glen, New York where his parents owned a hotel. He graduated from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan.
He was in the Korean War from 1950-1955. He returned to New York and owned and ran a store in Montour Falls, New York.
In 1958, he married Patricia Trader from Montour Falls. They had four children; Jennifer, Jeffrey, Robert and Jeanne.
In 1968, he sold the store and went into the real estate business. Then he went into the sewing machine business. While traveling around the country, they became enamored with the Southwest and in 1997 bought a home in Kingman, Arizona.
His wife worked for the PFAFF Sewing Machine Company for 10 years. Bill decided to go into repairing sewing machines at home, which he did until he passed.
