KINGMAN – The Mohave County North Toys for Tots program begins accepting registrations Wednesday.

Toys for Tots began in 1947, and the Kingman Marines Corps League has been part of this tradition for over 15 years. In 2016, the Kingman Marine Corps League has joined with members of the 1St Marine Division, Colorado River Chapter in order to expand the program along the Colorado River.

Registration this year will be done online by going to toysfortots.org website. Go to toysfortots.org and follow the directions and links on the web page. If you do not have a computer, we suggest you check with a friend or local library. It is your responsibility to check your email account for notifications.

The immediate parent having custody of the child or an appointed guardian may register. Those attempting to register multiply times with different names and multiply family members will be denied. Registration will be online only. You will need proof of address listed in your application and a photo ID to pick up your toys. A driver’s license will be accepted as proof of address.

An email will be sent to notify when toys are ready for pick up. We ask that you follow the directions in the e-mail. Toys that are not picked up within one week of notification may be redistributed to other families.

Donations can be made by following the directions at toysfortots.org. Be sure to select “Local Campaign: AZ KINGMAN” and all funds will go to the local account. Checks should be made out to Toys for Tots and “AZ Kingman” noted in the memo line. Mail checks to: Marine Corps League Detachment 887 – Toys for Tots, PO Box 6921, Kingman, AZ 86402.
