I found the Jan. 28 article in the Daily Miner “Clearing Things Up” extremely informative and helpful because doing what is necessary to take care of your eyes is very important and a yearly check up by an ophthalmologist should be standard practice.
As we age, our eyes take a beating, the same as the rest of our body. The sun, computer screen, eye stress, and UV rays all take their toll.
The sun’s UV rays can cause major damage to the surface of our eyes. As an avid motorcycle rider and one who enjoys the numerous sunny days in Kingman, I always wear eye protection to protect my eyes from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
Buying glasses, sunglasses and wearing helmet face shields with 100 percent UV protection is the best protection available.
