TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A carjacking suspect who was shot during a Tucson confrontation with Pima County Sheriff's deputies last year has been booked into jail after recovering from his injuries.
Sheriff's officials announced Tuesday that 25-year-old Elijah Lawrence is facing four charges of aggravated assault, one charge of armed robbery and two charges of kidnapping.
He was shot in the Oct. 4 incident and had been in a medical rehabilitation facility recovering from his gunshot wound and related surgeries.
It's unclear if Lawrence has a lawyer yet.
No law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
