Kingman women charged in felony littering case

KINGMAN – Two Kingman women could face felony prosecution, after allegedly admitting to illegally dumping more than 300 pounds of garbage at two locations in Kingman, according to Mohave County Environmental Rural Area Cleanup Enforcement officials.

The agency on Jan. 4 received reports of a truck illegally dumping in the Kingman area, and through the course of its investigation identified the suspects. Jessie Hinman, 20, and Tabitha Blackwell, 21, were charged with criminal littering exceeding 300 pounds, a felony punishable by one year in prison.

Hinwell and Blackman allegedly admitted to illegally dumping at the two locations, one of which was near Kingman Municipal Airport, this winter.

Mohave County ERACE is a law enforcement agency that conducts police investigations and sponsors free community cleanup trash collection events in locations throughout the county to reduce illegal dumping.
