KINGMAN – The Youth Advisory Commission will hash through details for its service project as well as discuss a partnership opportunity with the Food and Drug Administration and the Attorney General’s Office at its meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in Council chambers, 310 N. Fourth St.
The commission has chosen to partner with the Kingman chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace in performing their service project. Sleep in Heavenly Peace, its chapters and volunteers build beds for children in the community to ensure they have a safe, comfortable place to sleep rather than on the floor.
Councilman David Wayt, liaison to the commission, will provide an update on project location, time frame and donations.
The FDA and AG’s office is looking for youth volunteers for the Tobacco Compliance program. Annie Meredith, deputy city clerk, will provide commissioners with an overview of the program.
