PHOENIX – The Arizona Criminal Justice Commission is conducting its biennial Arizona Youth survey. The survey is currently open now but schools can sign up to participate until the end of April.
Schools that serve 8th, 10th, and 12th -grade students are eligible to participate in the survey. The survey is free for those schools wanting to participate and materials to administer the survey will be provided.
The survey provides a broad look at youth substance use, risk, protective factors as well as problem behaviors. The information gathered from the survey can be used to apply for grant funding, inform policy decisions, evaluate program efficacy, inform prevention planning, and aid in threat assessments.
Surveys will be completed May 18 and results will be available in the fall.
