KINGMAN – Two non-region games were just the right medicine for the Lee Williams High School boys basketball team.
The Volunteers bounced back from a tough loss with consecutive convincing wins.
Lee Williams cruised to a 64-49 victory Thursday night at Lake Havasu (6-8) and followed it up Friday at home with a 50-30 blowout of Greenway (1-14).
The No. 17 ranked Vols (11-3, 6-2 4A Grand Canyon Region) travel to 39th-ranked Prescott (2-13, 2-7) at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Northwest Christian 67, Kingman 55
At KHS, the Bulldogs couldn’t snap a seven-game losing streak Saturday afternoon in a 67-55 setback to the 17th-ranked Crusaders (9-5, 6-1 3A West Region).
No. 33 ranked Kingman (3-11, 0-7) plays its final road game of the season at 7 p.m. Friday against 30th-ranked River Valley (5-9, 2-5).
Lee Williams 50, Lake Havasu 40
At LWHS, the Lady Vols continued their success at home Thursday night with a 50-40 victory over the 36th-ranked Lady Knights (2-12).
Lee Williams wasn’t as fortunate on the road Friday in a 54-26 setback to Greenway (11-4).
The No. 16 ranked Lady Vols (9-5, 4-4 3A West Region) make the trip to 26th-ranked Prescott (6-9, 4-5) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
