Friends of Joshue Tree Forest: An informational kiosk was installed along Diamond Bar Road. The informational kiosk is located on the south side of Diamond Bar Road, less than a quarter of a mile off of Pearce Ferry Road, and is the result of a partnership between BLM and Friends of Joshua Tree Forest. The kiosk is placed on an advantageous overlook for one of the best views of the Joshua Tree Forest. The kiosk will provide information about the Grapevine Mesa Joshua Tree Forest, including the extensive history of the area, the flora and fauna inhabiting the Joshua Tree Forest and what you can do to help Friends of Joshua Tree Forest preserve the most extensive, densest and healthiest Joshua Tree Forest in the world. The kiosk will include maps of the area along with upcoming events. Friends of Joshua Tree Forest is a volunteer organization dedicated to documenting, preserving and protecting the beauty of the Grapevine Mesa Joshua Tree Forest.
