Jaki was born to a young mother who brought her to a cramped and overwhelmed orphanage in Guatemala when she was only a few months old. It wasn’t often that Jaki could call anything her own. Sharing a room with 12 other girls, she learned how to protect whatever little she might have had. One December, when Jaki was only 5 years old, she and the children in her orphanage received Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts. For the first time, all the children had toys to play with, and they all had things they could call their own. Cuddling the stuffed animal she received in her shoebox, Jaki felt special, loved and cared for. One year later she was adopted into a family in the US, and started packing shoeboxes herself to share the love of Jesus with other children like her who desperately need a tangible act of love. Operation Christmas Child Northwest Arizona Area Team invites you to a very special evening as we welcome our very first Full Circle Student, Jaki Steward. Come hear her amazing story!
