Casey Davis presentation spotlights a little-known chapter in AZ History called the U.S. Army Camel Corps. For about 20 yrs., ending in the 1870’s, camels were used as pack animals in the arid West. Hadji Ali, nicknamed Hi Jolly, was one of the camel drivers employed at the time. His exploits are many and his story is spellbinding. Mr. Casey will enlighten us with fascination true and legendary exploits of Mr. Hadji’s background, life and times. This is a story you want to hear!
