Nickelsen Hickman, a Kingman resident, died Monday Aug.

27, 2001, in Lake Havasu.

He was 32.


Hickman was born March 22, 1969, in Lakewood, Calif.

He was a 1987 graduate of Kingman High School.


Hickman worked as a sheet metalist in the construction industry.


Hickman is survived by: his mother, Deborah Hickman of Kingman; father Gary W.

Nickelsen of California; one brother, Gary Nickelsen of Modesto, Calif.; and grandparents Thomas and Margaret Shaw of Dolan Springs.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m.

Saturday Sept.

1, 2001, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.


Robert Cutlipp will officiate.

Sutton Crematory will handle cremation.

'Rod' Newton

Rodney L.

"Rod" Newton died Wednesday Aug.

29, 2001, in Kingman.

He was 75.


Newton was born March 5, 1926, in Berring Springs, Mich.

He worked as a draftsman in the steel industry.

He served in the U.S.

Navy during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.


Newton is survived by: his wife, Mildred Newton of Kingman; six daughters, Valerie Crowley of Dexter, Ore.; Terri Downer of Phoenix; Suzanne Henson of Kingman; Pamela Robbins of Cottonwood; Brenda Hutton of Glendale; Janette Nowlin of Yuma; one son, Dan Newton of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Bill Newton of Kingman, and Gene Newton of Sacramento, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m.

to 12:20 p.m.

Saturday Sept.

1, 2001, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m.

at Mountain View Cemetery.


Ronald Fair will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to the Arizona Kidney Foundation, 4019 N.

44th St., suite 110, Phoenix Ariz., 85018.
