Bertha L.C. White
Funeral services will be held for Bertha Lenora Cornett White at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3180 Rutherford Drive, Kingman. Viewing will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Sutton Mortuary, and at 10 a.m. Saturday before the funeral.
Bertha White was born April 29, 1922, in Picher, Okla., to Arthur Lee Cornett and Lazell Johnson. She died on Nov. 28, 2005, at Kingman Regional Medical Center where she had spent many years in volunteer service as a Pink Lady. Bertha White's whole life was spent in service to others. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society Organizations. One of her consuming passions was genealogy. She served an 18-month genealogy mission for the Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent many hours working in the Genealogy Library.
She was greatly loved and will be missed by many. She leaves behind two daughters, Nancy (Bryan) Smithson and Norma (Penny) McKnight; and two sons, William (Eleanor) White and Ronald (Susan) White; eleven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren (one on the way); and 3 great-great-grandchildren (one on the way). She was preceded in death by William H. White, her beloved husband of 47 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or KRMC Volunteers Auxiliary.
Mildred L. Burnam
Mildred Lucille Burnam, 92, a long-time resident of Golden Valley passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, in Hemet, Calif. She was born Nov. 23, 1912, in Comanche, Okla.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Betty Sobang, and son, Pruett Burnam.
Mildred was a charter member of Golden Valley Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at the Golden Valley Baptist Church, 100 S. Higley Road at Highway 68, Golden Valley.
Deana Harvey, 76, of Golden Valley died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, in Kingman. She was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Rolap, Utah.
