Lillian Louise Hafley Cropper

Lillian Cropper passed away July 7, 2005, at home with her daughters nearby. She was born in Massillon, Ohio, on March 21, 1923, to Elma Mae and Fred Bratchi. Lillian came to Chloride in 1932 and graduated from Mohave County Union High School as salutatorian of her class in 1941.

Lillian was married in 1941 to Paul Buddy Hafley. They were divorced in 1955, but remained life long friends. Lillian was married to Clark Cropper in 1968. She worked at Citizens Utilities, Mohave General Hospital, Great Western Bank, State Farm Insurance and Big D Distributors, retiring in 1996.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Shuffler and Christy Otto of Kingman; stepson, Jim Cropper of Newberg, Ore.; granddaughters, Connie Diley, Karyn Steffensen, Kelly Shuffler and Allison Diley; grandsons, Stephen Shuffler, Jonathan Otto, Matthew Cropper and Jacob Cropper. She adored her 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clark Cropper and grandson Clark Michael Cropper.

There will be a celebration of her life at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2005, at Christy's home, 3090 Southern Loop.
