Myrtle Rose, 89, of Kingman went to be with the Lord July 15, 2005.

Her husband of 60 years, Eugene, and her youngest son David preceded her in death. She was the daughter of John and Sarah Tipton of Kentucky. She has three surviving sons and daughter-in-laws, Don and Mary Rose of Oxnard, Calif., John and Melba Rose of Kingman and Larry and Aliene Rose of Santa Paula, Calif.; her daughter and son-in-law, Bob and Lucy Johnson of Kingman; her two brothers, David and Romeo Eldridge; two sisters, Lorraine Bohringer and Leotle Tackett; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was God's child from the age of 12 and loved every minute of serving him.

There will be a viewing held for Myrtle from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave. She then will be taken to Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura, Calif. for graveside services on July 25 at 11 a.m. Brother Larry Swift, from Pentecostal Church in Ventura, will be officiating.

In memory of my mother: God saw that she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around her and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes I let her go and saw her slip away; although I loved her dearly I could not make her stay. A precious heart stopped beating; hard working hands now rest; God breaks our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
