KAOL to graduate first high school class
KINGMAN Kingman Academy of Learning will finish its 10th year of operation with the graduation Wednesday night of its first high school class.
"This is an outstanding accomplishment for us," said Susan Chan, KAOL district administrator. "We work hard to provide our students with a great high school education, and this is the first fruits of our labor."
Commencement will be held in the KAOL High School gymnasium and begin at 7 p.m. The school is located at 3420 Burbank St. A total of 37 seniors will receive diplomas. Certificates of completion will be presented to seven foreign exchange students.
Senior Josiah Canto will give the welcome to the assemblage and lead in the Pledge of Allegiance. Senior Matthew Vines will deliver the invocation.
Members of the KAOL Middle School Chime Choir will perform before state Sen. Ron Gould addresses the graduates as keynote speaker. Allison Stuart, class valedictorian, and Jeremiah Adams, salutatorian, also will address the graduates.
Chan will recognize the 23 graduates that have gone all the way through high school at the KAOL.
Chan said she anticipates the ceremony will take about one hour, 15 minutes. It will be followed by a reception for the graduates and guests.
