Dolan Springs Days

DOLAN SPRINGS - "This is the place for open space," is the theme for this year's Dolan Springs Days festivities on Sept. 1 and 2.

The annual event kicks off with the Miss Dolan Springs pageant at 7 p.m. on Sept. 1 at the Mount Tipton School.

Then everyone is invited to start the morning on Sept. 2 with a hearty pancake breakfast at the Chamber of Commerce office on Pierce Ferry Road. Those who buy a Dolan Springs button will receive a $1 discount on the breakfast.

Parade participants check in at the chamber office by 9 a.m. Sept. 2. The parade starts at 10 a.m.

All other events will take place at the Mount Tipton Community Park at the intersection of Pierce Ferry Road and Edgement Road.

The fifth annual car show is even bigger and better this year. Other events include a beer garden, food, vendors, bean-bag jumping game for small children, a dunk tank and lots of games.

Two different gun-fighting groups will perform at high noon, and live music by two different bands will entertain from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Other entertainment will include the Dolan Springs KAD- Kids Against Dumb Stuff - the Hualapai dancers, raffles and apple roulette.

Dolan Springs Days are co-sponsored by the Dolan Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Mohave County Parks Department.
