Norma Jean Eisenlord

Norma Jean "Jeanne" Eisenlord, 74, of Kingman died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Kingman Regional Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1932, in Ripley County, Ind., and had lived in Kingman 35 years, coming here from California.

She was employed by Tucker Housewares for 14 years and retired in 1994. She worked as a seamstress for over 25 years in a sewing factory along with being a housewife and mom.

Her hobbies were woodworking, quilting, fishing, crocheting and Web TV.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Humpert; her brother, Richard Humpert; and two sons-in-law, Roger Esquerra II and Robert White.

She is survived by her sons, Dan (Sylvia) Eisenlord of Idaho, Ron (Martha) Eisenlord of Sierra Vista and Bill (Kathy) Eisenlord of Kingman; two daughters, Karen White and Kathy Esquerra, both of Kingman; one brother, Norb Humpert of Cherry Valley, Calif., and one brother-in-law, Wayne Eisenlord, of San Bernardino, Calif.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way, and lots of nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was an avid collector of Christmas decorations. She spent weeks decorating her home for the holidays, with a large table made into a village town with lit-up houses, people, and even a train. She also had her yard decorated with thousands of lights. We always teased her that she had enough decorations for 20 homes. She had been doing this for more than 50 years, using the same manger she built herself since the beginning.

She leaves behind a family that loves her and will miss her dearly, along with her four-legged companion of nine years, Sandy, who her children lovingly referred to as "little sister."

Jesus took her home two hours before her 75th birthday. What a party they had in heaven! "Rest in peace, Mom. We'll miss you."

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Desert Church of Christ, 2345 Gordon Drive. Cremation was handled by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Kathy Esquerra, 3630 John L Ave., Kingman, AZ 86409, telephone 757-9864.
