Gerald Ray (Bear) Heggstrom

Gerald Ray Heggstrom, 69, of Kingman went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, in Kingman Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born Aug. 4, 1938, in Superior, Wis.

Bear was a member of the Elks and Route 66 Good Sams Club. He loved traveling in his motor home. He worked at Mohave Generating Station for 17 years until his retirement in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alice Heggstrom; one brother, Kenny Heggstrom; one son, Alan Heggstrom; and one grandson, John Keith Wilkins.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Edna Frances Heggstrom; four sons, Bruce, Kevin and Max Heggstrom and Michael Gunnett; three daughters, Rochelle Heggstrom, Amelia (Robin) Wilkins and Toni Childers. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Heggstrom; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Heggstrom, both of California; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, at Calvary Chapel of Kingman, 500 Stowell Ave., with Pastor Ron Lee presiding. It was an honor to have you in our lives (Da). We will miss you terribly.
