Sunday is the end of the junior golf program with the Pete Peterson Memorial Adult/Junior Championship. All juniors are urged to play before 9 a.m. Register at the pro shop. Aug 25 is the annual Kingman Elks Tournament. Sign-ups are at the Elks and the pro shop. The Arizona State Elks Tournament will be in Kingman on Sept 8-9 with rounds at Cerbat Cliffs and Valle Vista.

In other news, Julie Brackett teamed with Christie Fiore (our senior overall champion with a 78 in the Northern Arizona Senior Open played here in June) to take second place low net with a 61 in the annual Lake San Marcos Country Club Invitational. The duo put on an Arnie-like charge, coming from nine strokes back. Congratulations girls and good job.

Also congrats to Sean Williams for qualifying for the Arizona State Amateur Championship at the Tucson Country Club on Aug. 13-17.
