Steven Joseph Wusstig
My husband, Steven Joseph Wusstig, age 34, was born on Guam on Jan. 31, 1973, and passed away June 12, 2007.
He lived in Kingman for 28 years and attended elementary, junior high (where we met) and high school here. He worked for UPS for nine years. Steven is remembered by us who truly knew him as a dedicated daddy, loving husband and faithful friend. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, bike riding and barbecues with friends and family.
Steven's services will be Saturday, June 23, as follows: Private viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. (immediate family only); Public viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and the service from 12 to 1 p.m. - all held at Kingman First Assembly of God, 1850 Gates Ave. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery. A reception for family and close friends will follow at the church.
Steven is survived by his best friend and wife of 22 years, Samantha S. Wusstig (Samatha); the two children he loved so much, his Princess, Brooklyn Marie Wusstig, 10; and his little Spidey/Stevie Boy, Steven Samuel Wusstig, 6. He is the first born and only son of Steven Peter Wusstig and Alice N. Wusstig (Mom and Pop). He is also survived by his sister, Melissa L.Polley (Missy), brother-in-law (and friend) Richard Polley (Rick); nieces, Ashley, Jordan and Mercedes, and nephew, Dominic; his youngest sister, Caryn L. Fuhrmeister and brother-in-law Thomas Fuhrmeister; nieces, Desiree, Anyssa and Skyler; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Beulah Neany; Stef and Trav more like brother and sister than cousins; father and mother-in-law, Samuel and Birdie (Mama) Ybarra; "favorite" sister-in-law, Jessica M. Cooper and brother-in-law Rusty Cooper (Brotherman) and nephew and niece, Austin and Vanessa. He is also survived by six aunts and six uncles and way too many cousins to count. He is predeceased by his Uncle Joe.
As your wife, Steven, I am so grateful for the words you last said to me and the time you spent with us. We had no idea it would be our last. I love that Brooklyn and I will always be your girls and that Brooke and Stevie and I are your heart and your family that you love and you could never leave us forever. So we hold on to that until we can one day be complete again as a family in heaven. We cry for you and will miss your forever.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, you donate to the Credit Union on Stockton Hill Road or Mission Bank on Hualapai Mountain Road. Just say, "In loving memory of Steven Wusstig."
