Refujia R. Rodriguez
Refujia R. (Cuca)(Ruth) Rodriguez, 82, of Kingman died Monday, April 30, 2007, in Kingman. She was born July 3, 1924, in Billings, Mont., and had lived in Mohave County for 70 years, coming here from California.
She was a nutritional technician for the University of Arizona Extension Service for several years before joining the staff at Palo Christi Elementary School as an instructional aide, retiring after 15 years of service in a vocation that was her true calling.
She is survived by her son, Robert R. (Carmen) Rodriguez of Reno, Nev.; her daughters, Rachel (Juan) Leyba of Phoenix, Amelia Yelland of Texas, Irene (Steve) Moore of Yuma, and Margie LaPierre; 13 grandchildren, Katrina Rodriguez of Greeley, Colo., Elisa (Patrick) Bizon of Kingman, Karina Rodriguez of Scottsdale, Andrea McGaa of Phoenix, Derek Moore of Tucson, Kyle Moore of Tempe, Kelly Gorgoni of Kingman, Jarrett Gorgoni of the U.S. Navy, Carie Gorgoni of Chicago, Gina Gorgoni of Las Vegas, Bradley Biedenbach of Burbank, Calif., and Chris and Jon Yelland of Texas; and six great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Alex and Katelynn Bizon, Ray and Victoria Estrella, and Kennedy Choate. She is also survived by her sisters, Lorrie Lerma and Tolly Recendez of Kingman; her brother, Ruben (Mino) Recendez of Riverside, Calif.; brother-in-law, Mario (Lucy) Rodriguez of Fresno, Calif.; and several dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will forever shine in our hearts.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. and the Rosary from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Desert View Funeral Chapel, 2215 E. Northern Ave. The service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 302 E. Spring St. Interment will follow the Funeral Mass at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road.
