KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Nicole Lynn Dixon, 18, and Tommy Lee Dixon Jr., 22, both of Kingman Sunday afternoon.

Nicole was arrested for giving contraband to prisoner, a felony. Tommy Dixon was arrested for promoting prison contraband, a felony.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Mohave County Jail on Sunday regarding promoting prison contraband.

At approximately 4 p.m., the detention officer reported that Nicole Dixon came in and visited her brother, Tommy Dixon, who is currently incarcerated. The detention officer further reported that after Nicole Dixon left, they observed a small hole near the visiting window where Nicole Dixon was sitting.

The detention officer said that Tommy Dixon was escorted from the visiting area and observed him throw something onto the floor near the wall. The detention officer recovered the item and determined it to be a plastic straw with marijuana inside.

A short time later, deputies contacted Nicole Dixon at a residence in the 100 block of east Oak Street. During conversations with Nicole Dixon, she admitted to putting the straw with marijuana through the hole in the window.

Nicole Dixon was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
