Bobbie Agee was called to Heaven on Sept. 14, 2007, while in her home in Elko, Nev., surrounded by family and friends. Born on March 3, 1957, in Inglewood, Calif., she was the oldest of three daughters born to Bob Footit and Joyce Jackson. Bobbie was raised her entire childhood in Florida. Her life's journey brought her to Elko in the early 1990s, where she spent the rest of her life.
Bobbie had a strong will and courageous spirit. As she approached the end of her life, she found strength through her faith in God and became a true inspiration to everyone who knew her. She eventually lost her brave, four-year battle with breast cancer on Sept. 14.
Bobbie is survived by her only daughter, Tangee Dussett and husband Freddie (Twin Falls, Utah), their children, Cameron, Jesse and Kiana; her sister, Joann Jones and husband Dennis (Winter Springs, Fla.), their children, Tracy, Stacy and Stephen; her sister, Lonie Keller and husband Clint (Kingman), with their children, Dana and Kyle. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
A memorial service celebrating her life was held at Calvary Baptist Church in Elko on Sept. 17 with Pastor David Brown officiating.
