MCSO names suspect in drive-by shooting

KINGMAN - The Mohave County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating Humberto Morales Ruiz, 39, of Lake Havasu City.

Deputies would like to question Ruiz about a drive-by shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Desert Hills.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call early Sunday morning in the area of Bryden and Sapphire streets in Desert Hills. The 25-year-old victim told deputies that he had been shot at multiple times by a Hispanic male in a white Chevrolet truck.

According to the MCSO, Ruiz was identified as the suspect.

Ruiz is a Hispanic male, 5 foot 5 inches tall and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and short, black hair. He is considered armed and dangerous. The MCSO warns that the public should not approach or contact Ruiz. He may be driving a white 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with an extended cab and a fish sticker in the driver's front window. The truck's license plate number is 718-ZLF.
