Keith Leroy Julle
Keith Leroy Julle of Kingman died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, in Kingman. He was born May 13, 1939, in La Grande, Ore., and came to Kingman 29 years ago from Houston. Keith graduated from Southwest Missouri State with a Bachelor of Science degree in business, and from Pepperdine University with a master's degree in Business. He worked for Shell Oil Company for 13 years and was owner of Mohave Oil Company since moving to Kingman in 1979.
Keith was a member of the Elks for 28 years and was exalted ruler from 1987 to 1988; he was a member of the Kingsmen and president in 1986; he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and president from 1986 to 1987 and member of the year in 1987; he was an active member of St. John's Methodist Church Council; and he was a member of Kingman Airport Authority. Keith was also past president of Rotary, president of Arizona Petroleum Marketers Association from 1990 through 1992 and Western Petroleum Marketers Association director in 1992. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served for four years.
Keith enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially with the grandchildren. He attended numerous swim meets, baseball, soccer and basketball games, always to encourage his grandchildren. In his free time, he loved reading and working outside around the house.
Keith is survived by his wife, Marilyn Julle; his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jon Olney; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Julle; and his mother, Eleta Julle of Chicago. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Sara Olney, Hanna Olney, Emma Olney, Tyler Julle and Kyle Julle.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave., with the service following at 2 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1730 Kino Ave. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kingman Elk's Scholarship fund in his memory.
