County road crew has busy schedule
The Mohave County Public Works Department has the following construction projects and roadwork scheduled in the Kingman and Golden Valley areas for this week:
North of Kingman, workers will be sealing roadway cracks on streets between Melody Street and Powell Avenue. From there, crack sealing will move into the area south of Thompson Avenue and east of Castle Rock Road. Also in these same areas, crews will be patching potholes and roadway edges and clearing weeds, trees and bushes to improve line of sight at intersections.
Traffic control crews will be painting edge line striping on Northern Avenue and Bank Street.
East of Kingman, workers will be repairing potholes and pavement edges in Valle Vista.
Traffic control crews will be painting edge line striping on Hualapai Mountain Road.
In Golden Valley, the regular blade routes will be in operation, and the construction broom will be sweeping on Chino Drive from Colorado to Bosque roads and in Crystal Estates from Chino to Burro Drives.
In Golden Valley, crews will be repairing and clearing damaged roads at wash crossings, particularly Estrella Road, north of Highway 68, where it crosses the Sacramento Wash.
Traffic control crews will be painting edge line striping north of Golden Valley on Mineral Park and Chloride roads, and south of Golden Valley on Alamo Road, Griffith Road, Apache Road, Yucca Drive, English Road and Centennial Road.
A channel maintenance project is in progress under the direction of the Flood Control District, and various companies have been contracted to complete projects throughout the county. Currently, Stockbridge Northwest is working in Valle Vista on the east drainage channel.
